"Max Reger's organ works are demanding and difficult to play. They demand from the musician a superior technique and great sensitively - which is especially true for the daring chorale fantasies of the Meininger master. In Glenn Stroh's brilliant interpretation of the Fantasy and Fugue on the Chorale “Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme"  both were clearly heard. Gloomily, the organ began to hum with him in low cello tone and growl slowly - dark breathing, unfamiliar and frightening. Flashy, powerfully bursting sequences interrupted the darkness of the notes abruptly, at first still dimmed, then brighter and louder, unfolding their monumental power. The Reger-Sauer-Organ proclaimed a sublime Gloria, as the full-sounding voice of heaven’s guardians into the church, their radiant purity unfolded in the voluminous final part of the chorale. "
